Registration

What does it mean to register my artifact?

Registration is how your record becomes officially yours. You enter your unique Artifact ID — printed inside your jacket — and your name and email. In return, you receive a Certificate of Authenticity and a Passkey that gives you permanent access to exclusive content from the band.

Your artifact is then listed on The Giving Groove Ledger: a permanent, public record of ownership. No account required. No password to create or lose. The Passkey is your key.

Where do I find my Artifact ID?

Open the gatefold jacket. Your Artifact ID is printed on the interior. Look for the QR code on the same panel; scanning it will take you directly to the registration page.

Is registration required?

No. The record plays regardless. Registration is how you claim what comes with it — your Certificate of Authenticity, your Passkey, and access to your private Chamber.

Can I register more than one copy?

Yes. Each copy has its own unique Artifact ID. You can register multiple copies under the same Collector Handle and email address.

The Passkey

What is a Passkey?

Your Passkey is a unique code delivered in your Certificate of Authenticity email. It is the only credential that proves you are the registered owner of your artifact — required for transferring ownership to someone else.

We never store your Passkey in retrievable form. Only you have it.

I lost my Passkey. Can you recover it?

No — and this is by design. Your Passkey is generated once, sent to you once, and never stored by us. If it is lost, the transfer capability for that artifact is permanently broken.

Your record still plays. Your Chamber access still works. Your Certificate still exists. Only the ability to transfer ownership — to pass the provenance chain to someone else — is affected by a lost Passkey. The artifact itself is unchanged.

We recommend saving your COA email to a folder you won't lose, printing it out, or noting your Passkey somewhere safe the day it arrives.

My Certificate of Authenticity email never arrived. What do I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder for an email from Registrar@thegivinggroove.com. If it isn't there, contact us at support@thegivinggroove.com with your Artifact ID and the email address you registered with. We can verify your registration and reissue your Certificate.

Your registration is safe even if the email didn't arrive — it is recorded on the Ledger the moment you complete it.

The Chamber

What is The Chamber?

The Chamber is your private collector portal — exclusive content from the band, accessible only to registered owners of this artifact. It is unlocked by the QR code in your Certificate of Authenticity email. No login, no account, no app. The QR code is your key.

How do I access my Chamber?

Open your Certificate of Authenticity email and scan the QR code or click the hot link. That's it. The Chamber opens directly — no password, no account required.

Keep your COA email. It is the only way to access your Chamber.

Will The Chamber always be available?

Yes — Chamber access is permanent for registered owners. Two things worth understanding. First, the Chamber is a living space: content grows and evolves, and some features are temporary by nature — contests end, live events conclude, limited-time content comes and goes. Occasionally content must change for legal or rights reasons. What's permanent is the Chamber itself — your artifact's private portal, always yours. Second, your provenance never depends on any of it. Your registration, Handle, copy number, and ownership history live on the Ledger — a permanent public record that stands regardless of what's inside the Chamber on any given day.

Transferring Ownership

Can I sell or give my artifact to someone else?

Yes. The Giving Groove has a built-in transfer protocol designed for exactly this. The physical record, the provenance chain, and Chamber access all pass to the new owner together. The transfer requires both parties and the artifact to be physically present at the same moment, and requires your Passkey to complete.

To initiate a transfer, visit the transfer section of your Chamber or go to thegivinggroove.com/transfer.

What happens to The Chamber when I transfer my artifact?

Chamber access moves to the new owner upon transfer. The Ledger is updated permanently to reflect the new registration. The provenance chain — every owner this artifact has had — is preserved in full.

Privacy

What information do you collect when I register?

We collect your name, email address, and Collector Handle. Your email is used to deliver your Certificate of Authenticity and to verify your identity for transfers. Your Collector Handle appears on the Ledger as the registered owner of your artifact. We do not sell your data. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

Is my Collector Handle public?

Yes. Your Collector Handle appears on The Giving Groove Ledger alongside your artifact. Choose it accordingly — it is permanent and cannot be changed after registration.

What happens if I ask you to delete my email address?

We'll honor it — but understand the consequence first. Your email address is the verification channel for ownership transfers. If we delete it, you can never transfer your artifact's registration to anyone else. Your artifact is still yours, your Chamber access through the artifact still works, and your Handle stays on the Ledger — but the provenance chain ends with you. This can't be undone later by giving us a new email address, because we'd have no way to verify the new address belongs to the original registrant.

Can people figure out who I am from the Ledger?

Only if you let them. The Ledger displays your Collector Handle — never your name or email. But your Handle is public, permanent, and unchangeable, so choose it accordingly: if you want anonymity, don't use your real name, a username you use elsewhere, or anything that identifies you. There is no rename option later. This is by design — a provenance chain that can be rewritten isn't a provenance chain.
